This presentation will discuss the process of preparing for an approaching storm, how JEA assesses and repairs facilities and restores power across our 900-square mile service territory as quickly and safely as possible.

About Matthew:
Matthew currently works in the Emergency Preparedness Department of JEA. He is responsible for the Emergency Operations Center and incident management functions. He collaborates with other business units within JEA to ensure proper training and exercises are completed in the efforts to continually improve. Matthew has previously worked as a Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator in Cumberland County, New Jersey. He is a Navy Veteran that was deployed to Japan, Afghanistan, and Guam with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 40. Mr. Wiita holds a graduate certification from Florida State University in Emergency Management & Homeland Security and a Bachelor's from Wilmington University.
