About Matthew:
Matthew currently works in the Emergency Preparedness Department of JEA. He is responsible for the Emergency Operations Center and incident management functions. He collaborates with other business units within JEA to ensure proper training and exercises are completed in the efforts to continually improve. Matthew has previously worked as a Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator in Cumberland County, New Jersey. He is a Navy Veteran that was deployed to Japan, Afghanistan, and Guam with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 40. Mr. Wiita holds a graduate certification from Florida State University in Emergency Management & Homeland Security and a Bachelor's from Wilmington University.
