The Arctic cold front impacting our area will persist for the next few days. National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting dangerously cold temperatures again on Sunday evening with wind chills or “feels like” temperatures forecast in the 20s.

In response, the Emergency Preparedness Division will again activate the Warming Center Contingency Plan. When temperatures reach 27 degrees or lower, the City of Jacksonville Warming Center will be open overnight to residents who lack access to adequate heat.
