Preparedness and Response Guide Arriving Soon in Your Mailbox

July 11, 2025
The Duval County Emergency Preparedness Division urges residents to get JaxReady and take proactive steps to protect their families and property. To help households prepare, the 2025-2026 Preparedness and Response Guide is now being mailed to all residential addresses in Duval County.
This comprehensive, easy-to-use resource provides vital information about hurricane readiness and more. It includes guidance tailored to Duval County’s unique needs. Whether you’re a lifelong resident or new to the area, the guide is an essential tool for preparing for disasters.

This critical resource is made possible through the continued support of JEA and JTA, whose partnership ensures residents have access to timely, life-saving information to help them before, during, and after an emergency.

“Preparedness saves lives”, said Andre Ayoub, Chief of the Emergency Preparedness Division. “We encourage every household to read through the guide, discuss your emergency plan, and take action before a storm is on the horizon.”

Residents should keep the guide accessible and look for any gaps in their preparedness, especially as the peak of hurricane season is approaching. The guide is also available digitally at JaxReady.com/download and on the JaxReady mobile app.

Stay informed, stay prepared, and stay JaxReady!
